Marine Coordination

Before the production starts, the Marine Coordinator works with all departments to help plan the production. Assisting with boat procurement or charter, and advising on the realities of filming on the water. On set, the Marine Coordinator works side by side with 1st AD to achieve the shots required. The Marine Coordinator works a little like the stunt coordinator, and that often the 1st AD will ‘hand over’ the set whilst filming is conducted in the marine environment

 

Water Safety

Working around, in, on, and under the water can be a dangerous environment. Having an experienced team of specialists helps to keep the cast and crew safe is very important. ADS team members have worked around the globe assisting productions whilst working in the marine environment.

 

Diving

ADS can provide a full dive team to support any underwater project. This could be as simple as being the safety diver to the underwater DOP, all the way through to building sets under water/ and training cast.

Team members were recently working on an underwater scene on a horror movie in KY, and in 2023 supported a Marvel movie involving a huge underwater set, and cast and stunt team training. 

 

Dry for Wet

The team have worked on dry for wet productions, working on wires to achieve the cast movements, and CGI being used to add the water in post.
